7.2 I said last year that in times like these the Wilson Doctrine seems to me to
be indefensible. That is still my belief, and, judging by the reaction to a complaint
made by a Member of Parliament some months ago, it is a belief that is widely
shared.
7.3 I also said last year, and I repeat, that my work would be impossible without
the generous support of the small secretariat which works with me, with the
Intelligence Services Commissioner, and with the Investigatory Powers Tribunal.
They, and the inspectors to whom I have referred, have all done excellent work,
and I am very grateful to them.
